Typical Day
The curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate for 3, 4, and 5-year-old children and is built around units or themes. These provide the framework for the art, language, literature, music and math activities. The program of activities developed for the 3 year olds will be less complicated than the program for children who are 4 and 5 years old. Because each group of children is unique, the curriculum will be correspondingly unique for the need and interest of each class. A typical class session may proceed as follows:
A two hour session:
60 minutes – Free choice:
Art activities, block building, dramatic play, discovery centers, large muscle activities, sensory experiences, etc. During this time, small group and individual instruction takes place.
